In 2007 agroup of young boys headed into the Okanagan Valley from, Northern Alberta. Strong athletes and willingness to try to play at the highest level of play in North America the group
sought competition with USL teams and pursued a
coach who had been denoted as Western Canada's
most respected youth Coach (NCAA Coaches)
Andrew Latham was contracted by the players
involved who quickly realized that the
soccer recruitment process was far more complex
and had a lot more rewards for them than what
their local associations could provide.

The joint teams trained with Andrew Latham in Fall and Winter but began their summers with highly respected US National Champion youth coach Seth Spidahl. 2010 - Sounder Coaching Steps in

Year 3 2009 University Prep Soccer non-profit society now has a solid business plan and was rapidly learning that the recruiting process for University was both arduous but also frought with opportunity. The founding members had pooled their learning and the oldest original members were now seeing that opportunity was abounding both North and South of the 49th parallel.
American clubs were applauding the initiative taken by a Canadian Pace-setter and University Prep earned its first honour. A plaque presented by Pacific Premier. Honouring the commitment of a sports based organization to and educational goal. The United Soccer leagues gave full permission to allow Uprep to friendlies with Super Y Clubs, and the organization's website shot to an audience from 16 different countries.
The coaching scene expanded and continued to be manned by some of the very best in the United States. Wycombe Wanderers and Fulham Product Aaron Hyde ran sessions and facilitated club competition before he was snapped up by Chicago Fire. Darren Sawatky began to show an interest in the sport-based educational experiment and Mark Metzger the Superstar NCAA Captain of NCAA Champion SPU Falcons gave the girls team and parents a unique look at elite level women's soccer

2011 Year 5 Detailed presentations by Seattle Based VSI taught University Prep that getting recruited meant just that - it is up to the player themselves to get recruited. The vast majority of players - with a drive to play - and a good recruiting plan and good "life skills" are almost sure to find a spot on a college roster.
"life Skills" defined as cognitive, personal and interpersonal skills are what leaders are made of - especially on a soccer pitch. These are the players soocer clubs covet, so University Prep has begun the process of augmenting the perfection of the soccer resume and recuiting process into an all around plan that features a complete professional recruitment package for youth players - both in a webinar and college soccer camp format.
The finished product is an excellent choice for players, parents
club teams and academies to facilitate cost efficient and effective methods of moving their players through the recruitment journey!
